EAL migrate servers to 'greenest' data centre

While Energy Applications Ltd help companies reduce their energy usage and operating costs around the globe, they are also committed to reducing their own environmental impact. One recent example of this is the move of our servers to the new ‘green’ data centre.

Energy Applications Ltd now hosts its servers in a brand new facility which is the UK's greenest data centre. It will become the first data center in the world to work with a major cooling technology provider, delivering the most energy efficient facility for dedicated hosting, cloud and colocation services. The technology allows the facility to reduce its power consumption by up to 95 percent.

The centre will have a predicted Power Usage Effectiveness rating of 1.1 (one unit of power on the building infrastructure to every unit of power to the servers) making it the best in the country. Compare this to the data centre industry average of 8:1.

While Energy Applications Ltd continue to help their clients reach their energy efficiency targets, we are also striving behind the scenes to ensure minimal impact on the environment from our operations.
